So I got bored, decided to record me playing something, plus commentary, and then this happened. I... didn't expect me to go that long.

So, this is Sonic Classic Heroes, the ultimate successor to Sonic 2 Heroes. Both this, and Sonic 2 Heroes, are mods by Flamewing, though in this case he had a little extra help. I play through the whole Sonic 2 half for you guys... and then my Fraps gives out at the credits due to space issues.

By the way, both kinds of Emerald Stages are available throughout every act of the game. Though, obviously, the Sonic 1 Emerald Stages require that there be no bosses at the end of said acts. As such, you get fewer opportunities to gain Chaos Emeralds in the Sonic 2 stages. However, the Sol Emeralds, which take on the appearance of Sonic 2's Chaos Emeralds, are available any time there's a checkpoint, and you have 50 rings or more when you pass said checkpoint, and you have to pass Sonic 2's Emerald Stages to get them. It's harder than it looks, now that you have 3 characters to worry about, though thankfully, you get the option to turn the Special Stage AI off before you make a save if you so choose.

Getting all 7 Chaos Emeralds will get everyone Super Form. Getting all 14 Emeralds gets you Hyper Form. I... have not yet been able to see what happens if you get just the Sol Emeralds, however. So I don't know what they do on their own. Probably just net you the Super Form, just as the Chaos Emeralds do.

I'll probably play through the Sonic 1 half for everyone at a later time. Using the same save, so I'll have access to the Hyper Form. Game breaking, I know. But I never really cared to begin with. Game breakers suck for the same reason they're awesome. So, I just see them as awesome.
