We figure out the sensor thing and it seems it really was a problem of my game crashing. It had been several weeks since we've last had the chance to play, so things ARE a tad rusty. No matter, we charge ahead with some difficulty. Apparently our dumper to load our welder up doesn't work right anymore. :(
