So, Smash Bros 4. This was an interesting installment into the series, being released on two different platforms. As an add-on to the impeccable and successful 3DS' library, and as Nintendo's third attempt to retain the attention the Wii U had gotten from Mario Kart 8. And like all the smash installments, it had received great reception from the world. It wasn't as extravagant as Melee or Brawl, no Adventure Mode, or the massive Battlestar Galactica/ Spaceball One that was, the Subspace Emissary. Nah, instead they just gave us on the Wii U version, a shitty party game. Holy cow Nintendo. Leave party games to Mario Party, you would soon release Mario Party 10 roughly 5 months from 4's release date. Even so, this game still had a lot to offer. It built heavily upon Brawl's online mode and well refined it. With Friends returned, and if you loved Brawl's form of Online Play, you're off to For Fun. For Glory was the kicker. All matches are played on final destination forms of stages, no items, and every battle goes on a newly kept record of yours. You can battle royale with 4 people, or 1v1 someone in ACTUALLY FUCKING PROPER STOCK BATTLES. Christ Nintendo, can stock matches be integrated into all forms of For Glory play? Leave timed matches for For Fun. Anyway, Absolutely brilliant. Online made has never been better in Smash. Now if only there wasn't any lagging, and especially damn imput lag. Even the roster has been well polished. From Pac-Man, to Mega-Man, to the ever terrible Little Mac, this game's roster has expanded greatly and is wonderful, even if it makes Palutena look like the shittiest goddess ever. And if there still isn't satisfaction with the roster, let there be DLC! Melee, Brawl, and new favorites return, Mewtwo, Roy, Lucas, and..... "Corrin" return/arrive. And then, third party galore, Ryu, Cloud, and Bayonetta all appear in one of Nintendo's greatest cash cow franchises. Poor Bayonetta, so much potential. Anyway, with an 8 Player clusterfuck that smart people stay away from, an excellent engine that runs in between Melee and Brawl, well refined online support, This game does well justice to this franchise, and really is a must have on Wii U. Also recently I fucked around with friends on Smash 4 mods, which was utter fucking chaos. So I decided to give my playthrough of Classic, All-Star, and Event mode alternate music, and fuck over the announcer in favor of Text to Speech's Daniel.
