In space, no one can hear you press buttons.

Systems Nominal is a keyboard button pressing game where you are the captain of a ship in trouble for reasons unexplained. It's your job - and only your job, who knows where the rest of the bridge crew are - to ensure the systems on-board remain operational (or nominal as the title of the game suggests) so that the crew of 1,000 can escape the mysterious and unexplained threat. The only way to achieve this is not by grabbing the nearest ray blaster and shooting all of the unknown enemy dead yourself. No, the only way is by pressing buttons for as long as you can, like any true space captain would!

I find this game builds a very good atmosphere of tension and dread, starting it off relatively simple and slowly increasing the challenge and explaining nothing of what the actual reason for the evactuation is. All the while it keeps the counter of crew still on board right next in front of you, reminding you that all those people will die if you do not succeed. Their lives are at your fingertips and only correct and fast button pressing will save them. While I may not be the best at it, I imagine in time I might be able to save them all.
