Let's Play Tell Me Why! Chapter 3: Inheritance
Should Tell Me Why have been the real Life is Strange 2? (spoiler alert: yeah, probably) This gorgeous narrative game by original Life is Strange devs DONTNOD has many of the elements that made LiS season 1 so special: a beautiful small town setting with a limited cast of characters you can get to know deeply, an LGBT+ protagonist(s) with strange and unique powers, a profound bond between two characters who haven't seen each other in years, and a grim mystery for them to unravel together. Plus, lots of snooping and introspection, and a genuinely likeable love interest!
It's Velmax and Ghost in the Hella's first time streaming this game but our second time playing it, so be prepared for SPOILERS! There will likely be spoilers not only for Tell Me Why, but also for any and all games in the Life is Strange franchise. Yes, we know this isn't actually a Life is Strange game. But it should have been, dammit!
Content warning! Tell Me Why contains MANY potentially triggering themes, including but not limited to: transphobia, misgendering, parental death, domestic abuse, childhood trauma, cops being bastards, panic attacks, familial abandonment, and mental illnesses.
From Dontnod's website: "In this mysterious and intimate story, twins Tyler and Alyson find each other again after many years of separation. They discover that they still share a strong and supernatural bond. As you explore the twins’ past, your choices will affect their relationship and the strength of the bond between them, while shaping the course of their lives." https://dont-nod.com/en/games/tell-me-why/
