This is it. The beginning of the end. We began our adventure so long ago. 100 HP. No armor. Afraid of every blue slime that bounded our way.

And now we seek to destroy those who wish to destroy us. In order to confront the one wishing to bring about our impending doom, we first need to conquer his minions.

Under the dungeon's eaves, where once an old, cursed man lived, there is a quartet of robed cultists worshiping a mysterious altar. What they hope to accomplish with this ritual, I'll never know. I didn't think to ask. I only know one thing in the land of Terraria - kill or be killed..

The mighty Lunatic Cultist came forth, threatening our very being with his summoned lightning portals and dragons from another dimension. He is a master of illusion, but I am not easily fooled. I brought this madman down, and almost wish I hadn't.

The sky instantly became the shade of ash-filled skies over great wild fires. I knew the pillars had landed.

There are four pillars which mark the Celestial Events: Stardust, Vortex, Solar, and Nebular. Only destroying all 4 of these, heavily guarded and shielded by their own corresponding legions of doom, will give us the opportunity to take on the master of all, the Moon Lord.

Today, let us test the waters by facing the Stardust and Vortex pillars and see what loot can be gleaned.

I love challenging games. I love games that truly test your mettle, asking if you truly have what it takes. It's what drew me to the Souls games. Games that push you to the limit and then ask for more.

However, Souls games aren't the only games that can provide this type of challenge. You don't need "realistic" graphics and dark fantasy settings in order to prove your worth.

For this reason, I present to you Blue Plays - Terraria: Expert Hardcore Edition. In this series, I will go as far as I can in an Expert world (enemies have 2x the health, do 2x the damage, more difficult AI, player has less health regeneration) with a fresh, Hardcore character (death is the end).

I am far from a Terraria pro. Tips and suggestions are more than welcome; they are highly encouraged! Help keep me alive, please?

Terraria is an action-adventure sandbox video game developed by game studio Re-Logic. The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows on May 16, 2011. It was later released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Android in 2013, for Windows Phone, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2014, and for OS X, Linux, and Nintendo 3DS in 2015. A version for the Wii U is also in development.

The game features exploration, crafting, construction, and combat with a variety of creatures in a randomly generated 2D world. The game received positive reviews from critics, and over 12 million copies of Terraria have been sold as of June 2015.
