Let's Play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (BLIND-Redo) - Episode 12
ORIGINAL RECORD DATE: June 17th, 2025.
Okay, okay. So Skyrim has been considered cursed for a long time on my channel. The specific reason being that over the past 14 years, each time I've tried to play and finally see what all the excitement is about, something goes horribly wrong. From PC hardware failures to recording software disasters. Causing me to never see past the opening hours of the game. The last major attempt I did was actually in the form of an older Let's Play that started in 2017 into 2018. Which was subsequently cut short thanks to hardware problems. However, there might be light at the end of the tunnel yet. My family had to move out of our home of 20 years and into my grandmother's basement. Where adjusting to the environment has been difficult. One major challenge was figuring out how I could manage recording Let's Plays, due to being stuck in the same space as others. Before continuing my other in-progress LP's I started this year, I thought I would run a test using Skyrim to see if I could manage it. As I was in the mood for a Fantasy RPG. I immediately got hooked, and although I only have certain windows of time that I can manage to record, I've been unable to pull myself away from the game. This is it guys. This is finally happening. I am finally going to see what Skyrim is all about!
To give further context, this is technically the second Let's Play of Skyrim to be posted on my channel. My original series was basically intended to be what this Let's Play is. Finally being able to experience Skyrim in all its glory. Unfortunately, it was cut short with just 25 total episodes being posted. This was also my older format when episodes were 20-35 minutes per. So you can see I only spent several hours in total on the game.

Because both titles are nearly identical, I went with an approach similar to my Fallout 4 series'. In that this one will be titled with "Redo" to specify it's my second attempt. Alternatively I could have retitled the original series with something like "Old - Incomplete" like I did with Mass Effect. I might still do something like that, but I felt this worked just fine. This series is also easier to spot with my newer content formats. Including longer episodes and unique thumbnail banners. I mentioned at the start that I was considering leaving 'BLIND' out of the title until a few episodes in. Although I am already experiencing new things I hadn't previously as early as the first episode & my previous experiences were only the first few hours anyways, so it is simpler to leave it in the title as it is a core part of the overall series.
For my Let's Plays, I more often than not, play a much slower pace than what the average player might. This is especially the case for games I am really enjoying. Please understand that I record LP's in an old-school style. There's no editing to remove anything from the gameplay itself. If I'm exploring, looting, managing inventory, questing, gathering resources, or failing horribly at puzzles, you'll see it all. You do have the option to skip ahead if you wish, but this does risk missing out on certain things and lacking context to later events.
I'll be experimenting with some of the different combat systems within the game, but I'll be trying both archery & magic, and depending on how things go with leveling up, trying out melee later down the road. The difficult option may shift during my playthrough, but I do settle on Expert in the early stages.
One of the most well regarded rich open world RPG's ever released as a Tigerfrost Let's Play? This must be some kind of illusion magic, because he'd never actually do something like that.
NOTE: This Let's Play is marked as "BLIND". Which means that beyond the first few hours of the game, it is my first time playing and experiencing the game. Expect me to take time adjusting to the game's systems and making plenty of mistakes.
NOTE 2: All Skyrim footage for this Let's Play will be recorded and uploaded raw in 1440p at 60fps without any special intro or outro. Episodes will average around 1 hour in length per.
