After accepting the Hero Clothes from his Grandma, Link is asked to return to the watchtower and fetch Aryll. There's no rush, so why not do a chore to raise a little birthday money. Fetch 3 pigs around the island and bring them to Rose's pig pen to earn 20 rupees for each pig. There's also plenty of goodies in the native houses around the island. Aryll is waiting with a birthday present for Link atop the watchtower: Her Telescope! Treasure it dearly. While trying it out, strange events start to unfold as a monstrous bird with a girl in its talons and a pirate ship appear. The ship fires stones and causes the bird to drop the girl into the forest at the top of the island. Link must go rescue her, but not without something to defend himself with. Perhaps Orca can loan a spare sword for the birthday boy after a bit of training...
