Link ascends the cliffs on the far end of the island and enters the Forest of Fairies. Although there are no fairies to be found, the girl that fell from the giant bird's talons is dangling unconsciously from a tree branch. Link must rescue her, but he'll have to go fight off some Bokoblins in the area. Once the last of them are defeated, the girl falls down from the tree and a pirate comes to her aid. Apparently this girl is named Tetra and is the leader of the band of pirates aboard the ship. Aryll awaits the gang outside on the other side of the bridge, but is unfortunately snatched by the giant bird and carried away to the distant Forsaken Fortress. Link is determined to save her, but he'll need a way to travel across the sea to the Forsaken Fortress. After a discussion with the postman seen earlier, Tetra allows Link to travel with them on one condition: If he finds a shield to protect himself with. If Link recalls, Grandma had a shield hanging up on the wall. Link looks upon the wall in her house, but the shield is missing. Grandma, after hearing the sad news of Aryll being kidnapped, gives it to Link to take with him. Before Link departs, he should do some quick shopping in Beedle's Shop Ship to purchase a Bait Bag and stock up on All Purpose Bait and Hyoi Pears. They might come in handy for later. With preparations complete, Link departs Outset Island with the pirates aboard their ship, and his epic quest of the Great Sea truly begins!
