Let's Play The Procession to Calvary - Part 1 - A Quest From The Immortal John
Welcome to the Christmas project. This game is a sequel to a game called Four Last Things. I did a Let's Play on it so go check it out so you can get caught up on the story. This time we play as a female crusader who has been busy killing and murdering people all over town. She's ordered to stop however because The Holy War has just now ended in victory. Our protagonist is sad that there will be no more murder because she's not allowed to at this time, but she is now allowed to have an audience with The Immortal John. Immortal John turns out to be the protagonist from Four Last Things. He survived the Leap of Faith at the end of the previous game by landing in some soft hay, but gave him some head trauma as well as a lucid nightmare about ending up in Hell. When the people saw he survived, they thought of him as immortal and worshipped him as their new king. He decided to use his power to drive the Not-so-Heavenly Peter out of town. Heavenly Peter's religion was a sham. He never cared about forgiving sins nor following Jesus' example. Instead, he kept people under his religious oppression and the Leap of Faith was nothing more than a way for him to get away with murdering people who were more sinful than him. He's still alive of course and fled to a new region to the south. Immortal John gives our lady a quest to hunt down Peter and assassinate him as she pleases. In order to board the boat and sail southward, she'll need to retrieve the boatman's oars which are being used as crutches by an injured man and he won't give us the oars unless the other injured knights of the people approve. We help their ailments and they vouch for us. We sail across the sea and make a journey onfoot towards the city where Peter resides. We hitch a ride with a woman on a donkey pulling a shell cart until the cart breaks down several feet from the city gates. The guards won't let us in without a Visa and Visas are only given to townsfolk in town. The woman we rode with has a visa and can sneak us into town if we repair her cart and cheer up her donkey.
