Let's Play The Complete Classic Doom Collection - Part 90 - System Control
Welcome to Final Doom, well one part of it anyway. Final Doom was a fanmade expansion which then Id Software turned into an official release. I believe that's how the story went. Final Doom encompasses two whole expansions. The one we're focusing on is TNT: Evilution. The story of TNT is that after humanity rebuilt Earth, the UAC was reestablished as well. They restart their teleportation experiments hoping that they can target an Earth destination or at least a dimension that is NOT Hell for real this time. As Doom fans already know, all interdimensional teleportation leads to Hell. It's like that Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode where Frylock invents a teleporter, but all it does is keep taking him to Carl's house. Anyway, the UAC established a new base on the moons of Jupiter hoping the extra distance will lead to more promising results. It doesn't, but they're more prepared this time with an entire Marine army on standby ready to shoot anything demonic that comes through. Several said operations go smoothly until the demons bring in a Trojan Horse of sorts, rather a strange looking spaceship made of steel, stone, flesh, bone, and corruption. The inevitable follows and Doomguy is once again called in as the UAC's personal get-out-of-demon-invasion-crisis free card. As head of Marine Command, he swears vengeance on the demons that struck unexpectedly and murdered everyone while his back was literally turned while he was taking a walk. Hell doesn't rest and therefore he can't take a short break for shit.
