At the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2013, Telltale revealed that the additional content would be in the form of downloadable content for the first game, entitled The Walking Dead: 400 Days. The reveal was teased over the previous week by a number of posts from Telltale on the Vine social application, hinting at new characters. The content will be an additional episode to the first season, and introduces five new characters that journalists are expecting to be included in the second season; their stories will be centered around a truck stop in central Georgia over different time frames of the first four hundred days of the zombie apocalypse, running concurrent with events from the first five episodes. The story is presented in a similar narrative style as the movie Pulp Fiction, with a final sequence summarizing the results of the game and the interaction of the five stories.The player can play through the five separate stories in any order within the episode. The episode will use information from the player's saved game from the first season, and decisions made within 400 Days will continue into season two. The content will be made available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, iOS devices, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, and a special bundled edition of the PlayStation Vita will include the full season one and 400 Days. The new content will be released across the Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and iOS platforms between July 2 and 11, 2013 for existing The Walking Dead owners, with the Vita bundle planned for August 2013.
