Let's Play Turok New Weapons & More Mod - Part 1 - The Hub 1 of 2
The Summer of Sam has ended and now we start playing a new Turok mod. This one was requested by a viewer. It promises a new arsenal of weapons, but I didn't expect it would redesign the levels as well. Cheats are going on because I got my ass kicked during a practice run. Along with level redesigns, there are abundant enemy placements as well. You'll find about a couple dozen enemies headed towards you with another dozen remaining stationary in just about every possible corner and another dozen stationed up on top of cliffs and high platforms. The enemies come in different sizes ranging from really small to really big. Some of them even hide in the shrubbery. A lot of them happen to be either grenade throwers or pulse rifle users. A good thing is that the enemies do not respawn, I like that. The level redesign works like this, a path you'd normally take in the vanilla game has been destroyed and/or blocked off, but there is an alternate path available to take you to a new and unique area so you go through that before being dropped back off into familiar areas, rinse and repeat. The new weapons are as follows. You start with Spear from Turok 3 and you eventually get a Turok 3 crossbow and a Turok 3 custom pistol. The shotgun is a Remington 870 from Terminator 3 and uses the actual SFX from the film. There is a Terminator 3 tie-in video game as well and I'm not sure if the asset for the shotgun was taken from that. Later on, we find the Assault Rifle which has been redesigned and given a continuing fire rate.
