With the wargots we had an idea on what they were and how we'd go about defeating them. Originally there was the thought that the starghosts were part of the wargots arsenal of weapons but that's clearly not the case. We've no real knowledge of what kind of race they are or what their purpose is here and worse yet we've no clue as to how to stop them or IF they can in fact be stopped.

For now the best we can do is defeat them where they appear and hope we make a breakthrough soon in the form of research about them, else it's only a matter of time before something goes wrong and they get a foothold on the planet. By the looks of how they operate, that's something we don't want them to get.
