Not captured in this series are the 9 hours I spent off-stream grinding out plant growth so I could actually connect everything. It has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Not as bad a taste as the game bricking on me multiple times in the end. bricking to such an extent that when i GOT to the final area, it didn't load the last scene... so I had to pull it up on youtube. thank you to @CarrotHelper (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upSCLMkYcdY) for their 100% run that I could pull up to at least watch the ending that was stolen from me.
In the end: Ultros didn't land for me. It looked cool, and it had neat mechanics, but the narrative is flimsy and high-minded, the mechanics don't really mesh all that well, nor are the explained well (if at all in some cases), and the amount of grinding you have to put into the game just felt... bad.
