Dagless and I take a look at a open-world zombie survival game developed by one 16 year old called Unturned. The game features a crafting system, procedurally generated loot and a pretty large map (I also heard there's another map being developed btw). Thanks for watching.
The game is fun but suffers from what all other games in the genre suffer from as well, eventually the game either gets to a point where everyone shoots everyone else on sight or everyone works together and the game gets stagnant. The way to fix this? Add something more to do beyond simple survival mechanics like hunger and thirst, NPCs or Questlines would really spice up this genre (The Dead Linger will be adding those features btw). I personally enjoyed this game and will probably play it again but I just wanted to point out some problems I had with the open-world zombie survival genre.
