127Sometimes, the game presents an entirely optional part of a level which is exceptionally challenging, tempting you to try and tackle it with the promise of something that'll make the effort worth it at the end. The challenge with this game trying that is quite simple; there's no reward that is really worth getting down there. Health and ammo would only replenish what you lose trying to get past it. The game could offer a chaingun but in episode 5 almost every level seems to have one lying around somewhere.
Sometimes it's best to leave a place you can't bypass alone if you don't need to go down there and instead focus on finding the exit. In this case however it turns out that I didn't go about solving the puzzle of that corridor correctly.
