With a third member of the party we have far more then another sword arm to swing weapons in combat. We can start to develop some more complex strategies to deal with future combats including using ranged weapons more often.

Drirr is a very capable fighter whose idea focus is melee combat but it would be wholly possible to make him a very competent archer with the right training. I've always found him more suited to hand-to-hand however, especially with the prehensile tail. One not-so obvious feature about it is that Drirr can use the two handed hunters lance with a shield by sacrificing the ability to equip a weapon in the prehensile tale slot. We won't be using that ability but it's something to keep in mind.

For now, we need to equip Drirr as best we can in preparation for an excursion out of the town walls and eventually to the old former building. Along the way I get a little side-tracked searching for an NPC who doesn't seem to be around at that point - that or I simply missed them in my wanderings. It isn't all for nothing though as I encounter a few other people I didn't talk to on my first trip around the town and it's always nice to get the world a little more fleshed out.

As for the overworld, it's much like the over-the-top third person interior areas, just more zoomed out. Combats are quite avoidable if you plan your movements carefully but at this point we need to get a few levels under our belt, all the better to deal with the former building. So let's get into some fights, shall we?

After all, what's the worst that can happen?
