164You'd think that a ship of that size would be exceptionally difficult to board, especially if you're trying to do so on foot. There's bound to be a convenient way onto the ship, else Master Chief would have no chance of saving Keyes. Of course, there's a few minor issues with sneaking on board a battlecuiser fill of Covenant forces but I'm sure we'll manage just fine.
After all, there's only an untold amount of enemies that can surround any forces that try to invade with ease and crush them. Or they could lock the doors and turn off life support to the room, suffocating them. Or they could have a team of elites waiting to gun them all down as soon as they board.
Or they could turn off the gravity lift when it became clear Master Chief was trying to use it to board the ship. Honestly, that's the simplest option right there. Of course they might know he has the AI and so hope to lure him into a trap but why risk him succeeding? Why not instead just overwhelm him with copious amounts of soldiers and firepower instead?
We may never know.
