This is original a WAD I made accompanied with an LMP to present something for the wild compo at a demoparty (Pixelshow 2005 in Patra/Greece). The idea was to make something like a machinima, that has a jokey demo style presentation, with zooming through text, 3d stars, 2d parallax stars, also splitting a linedef into 1 unit subdivisions (something that would crash the original Doom with a limit of 2 units for smallest linedef) and offsetting the horizontal texture coordinate in such ways while using some special textures and the scroll linedef type to fake plasma effects and raster bars without using animated textures. I also made a great warping texture animation and TV noise using this technique. It works great back in time with the software renderer in an old version of ZDoom but now there are some artifacts (also on the fonts too but this one because of texture clamping in the 3D accelerated engine I think). Also, the old lmp needed a specific ZDoom version that simply doesn't work anymore in modern windows, so I recaptured a new lmp.

Finally, in the last part I also have made the map of the actual demoparty place in the university of Patra. I recalled out of my memory how the building and internal rooms were structured since the last year I visited the same place and designed a level around it. You can see the rows of computers and the organizer computer and the projector showing some tv noise on the screen (I didn't have any idea of what to show there, maybe another effect or a big animated texture with a demo sequence? Oh, I remember I wanted to make an upscroller with final credits and greetings, but run out of time or something went wrong while trying to create this). There is also an inside joke about Optimus smashing the computer monitor with his head. And when I did the final release, I also made the DoomonstrationGame.wad so that there is also a playble version with monsters for those who don't know what to do with the original wad with the lmp. In that version I changed the graphics of the lost souls and Cacodemon with my lame face from my old passport and added an extra secret easter egg.

If you also go to Pouet I think the download link also provides the original ZDoom version that used to record https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=16859 (but of I course I had problems with this myself because Windows 10 make it say "some DirectDraw can't find suitable resolutions". I will also upload the new lmp I recorded on latest GZDoom somewhere.
