Some of the most dangerous enemies in this game are the more frail. How many times have you entered an area only to slowly get whittled down by a distant chaingunner firing at you? How many times has a monster closet opened up behind you, unleashing a score of shotgun zombies that take a chunk out of your health total? What about the large hordes of pistol zombies that act as screens for more dangerous opponents?

While the super shotgun is a great workhorse weapon to have out most of the time, don't discount the chaingun and its great accuracy when you tap fire. Add to that its ability to effectively stunlock many foes and you've got a reliable tool for preventing return fire and sniping distant opponents.
