Series 8/8 - With another Metal Gear Solid game out of the way, let's see how it did: well, it did something completely out of style from the series and actually did the world tour missions rather than just the organism facility deal that kind of took me out of the fullness of stories that we are used to in the series.

It also used the PS3's new abilities as a console to pull an entire cinematic experience through the player that tarted itself up with all of this newfound story capabilities along with being the game that tied all of the scattered story elements together not leaving much for later games (see Metal Gear Rising).

The radar returned along with a lot of different guns available and a Drebin shop that means we can get bullets by paying Drebin points in the midst of tough-ass battles along with the Solid Eye which meant we didn't have to go looking for Night Vision Goggles and just got them right away along with a lot of information including health bars and what pickups were by just glancing at them.

Was it fun? Yeah, in bringing a third-person shooter genre instead of a sneaking one, it means that we can actually shoot everyone we meet instead of alerting one or two and suddenly having an infinite horde we can't deal with.

The game tried to do some Assassin's Creed style tailing missions and some gimmicky things that were new things brought along to the series just like Metal Gear Solid 2 with the Bomb fetchquest as a similar deal, so put it all together and we get this anarchic mishmash type game that would make Call of Duty proud.

Check my review for my actual thoughts.
