0Nakama is a Japanese term referring to a group of very close friends. In general, they are about as close as a family.
There's generally two rather successful ways to handle a crew and contacts in Shadowrun. The most obvious is to remain completely professional and avoid getting too connected to anybody so that you can cut and run when you need to. The second is solidarity and forming a little surrogate family. Each has their strengths and weaknesses but I generally prefer the solidarity method.
