Some characters REALLY get the short shrift in this game, huh? Marle is generally considered pretty low tier, and like, I don't disagree. She eventually gets kind of outmoded in the late game. At the very least, she gets some free buffs in the DS-exclusive Dimensional Vortex content -- I've even come to appreciate her new ultimate weapon, the Venus Bow; 777 damage doesn't sound great but it's generally gonna be a little more than a non-critical hit for most characters, but not as much as a crit; trading off a chance to crit seems acceptable for that, especially since her basic attacks are generall horrid -- but that's post-game content. It basically only helps her in the other two Dimensional Vortices or the bonus superboss, the Dream Devourer, or if you loop through a New Game + again just to obliterate things or for some of the early NG+ endings. Most, you'd probably rather use someone other than Marle, though.
