Welcome to the final installment of the series on the SNES. Most of the game was developed by Minakuchi Engineering, AKA the people who did the Game Boy Mega Man games and it does feel like a departure from X and X2. Levels are generally big, littered with multiple boss encounters and has some weird secrets going on for it.

Also, you can play as Zero, which is not something you'll guess by looking at the game itself. Hope you had the game's manual to tell you this was a thing!

All in all, the 16-bit era of Mega Man X kinda peters out with this game. On the surface level, it sounds and looks competent, but as a whole the game feels by the numbers and empty.
