Hello everyone. For about the next 20ish minutes I'm going to talk about some Mass Effect Andromeda. I really hope you enjoy it, but do have this in mind: this is not a formal review. I did not attach a score, I did not highlight everything that you can do in the game and I certainly haven't touched the multiplayer.

The fact is is that the game is good, but flawed. It tries to rise to greatness but doesn't understand its internal narrative enough to really get there. There's a lot of good ideas but none of them mesh well with the jumbled mess of a story that they've come up with.

So, while many people will harp on the bugs and the animations and the plethora of technical issues the game very much has, I want to try and talk about how the story just doesn't add up and isn't compelling enough to warrant its own sequel.

Recently, Bioware addressed some of these technical issues in patch notes. This video was produced before those patch notes were released, so just disregard some of that.
