Many talks and statements were made regarding new ideas and mechanics for Sonic the Hedgehog and his games as well as for his stories, some to the point it's not worth considering based on the idea alone. "Too many of Sonic's friends are here, the mech/treasure hunting stages are weird/different, same for the Werehog, Sonic doesn't fit with humans or in a realistic setting, etc." Sonic Frontiers also fumbling into that conversation as well. Here are my thoughts on the matter of people reacting to when Sonic tries to get either realistic or creative.
