Let's Talk About the Signature Spells Localization [CC]
75I just wanted to give me opinion on this situation, as well as talk about the original JP text since I haven't seen anyone talk about it. I've seen a lot of people complain about this aspect of the localization LONGGGGGGG before I even thought of doing an unpopular opinions videos. I don't think picking one of two canon names constitutes as "changing" the UM name. There ARE examples of things being changed like Epel and arguably Rook's, but the majority is just the localizers choosing one name over the other. They aren't "changing" the vast majority of Unique Mahous.
And also little note I found while editing, furigana is under the categorization of ruby text and ruby text also exists for other languages besides Japanese. Chinese and Korean also have ruby text.
