This is about 35 minutes of me trying out Fireburst. If I was to give Fireburst a rating, it would probably be 3/10. These are my thoughts on the game.

Fireburst claims to be an explosively fun fast-paced arcade style racing game with fantastic graphics. It's not. Sure, it has its moments when you fire up the turbo, but the general feel of the game was somewhat off. The game pits you up against different challenges that you have to complete while winning the race, so it often feels more like a frustrating game with repetative quests, than it does a racer.

Music is very repetative, and you are constantly bomberbed with taunts from the CPU drivers, even though you are well ahead of them. Graphics are alright, but does contain a lot of dark and shaded areas that makes everything rather gloomy - even the desert at mid-day seems a bit dark. The levels are unoriginal and unstructured, as they seem to borrow from each others concepts.

Admittedly, I am not well versed in the world of racing games, but I have tried others that feel a lot more empowering. Fireburst failed to deliver. Who knows, maybe the game opens up later on, but after 30 minutes, I didn't really feel compelled to keep playing.

I can't believe I paid for this..
