The July 2024 Evercade Game of the Month has arrived on the scene!
And it's *great*!
Seriously, I am stunned at how good a game about *Jane Austen* is. The controls are fluid, you have a lot of abilities, the music is pleasant (for the most part), and it's not just a one-and-done deal.
I forgot to show it at the end, but as I said in the video, there are multiple difficulty options. That just adds to the replayability of this game, for both challenge *and* speedruns too.
My only complaint, which isn't so much of a *complaint* but confusion(?), is the statue/bust enemy. It just seems to fire a little *too* quickly to be able to approach it due to Jane's distance attack not quite actually going the distance.
Other than that, I just have only praise for this game! This is, without a doubt, the best 2024 Game of the Month so far. And I have a feeling it will be one of Evercade's sleeper hits. :D
(I'm still probably not going to read any of Austen's novels, though. :P)
