Hey, fellow Youtubers! Here another arcade video I like to show you. It’s Mouse Attack for Mame. It was released for the arcade, by Innovative Concepts in Entertainment Inc. (ICE) in 1996 (or Game Room in 1995). Oddly, I never heard of this company or any other companies (perhaps they were not considered a major corporation like, Capcom, Sega, Nintendo, Konami, Bandai Namco, Square Enix etc.).

This game does serve as one of the Redemption games. The rules of the game are to prevent all seven mice from stealing one of each total of eight cheese and three extra ones (your winning prize tickets). Later, a few more will show up and attempt to make a move. Armed with your trusty mechanical, wooden mallet. You can only use it once for each single turn to flatten the thieves in a comical cartoon-like fashion. The bigger the group, the slower and easier each mouse take to reach its target. When you get down to four or less, the mice start to become quicker and clever. The more cheese they steal, the less tickets you’ll receive and the game is over. Also, it’s game over if one of many manage to steal all the cheeses (leaving you with no tickets).

It’s takes the right amount of patience, timing and reaction to get better at it. Here’s my short game play of it and its demo. Surprising, this is the first redemption game to be fully emulated for MAME (*snickers* Sorry, you can’t get any tickets or prizes via through PC, laptops etc. this way. *snickers* It’s okay.) Played this by using MameUI64 0.161.

Special Note: The video emulation is lagging slightly, due to the recording with Windows 10 laptop and using an early version of MameUI (not compatible with the current OS).

Enjoy and please tell me what you think.
