Let's talk to that guard, oh hey it's a giant Goron. His name is Dangoro (Fun fact, it shares it's Japanese name with the Pokemon Roggenrola.) This is actually a pretty fun Mini-Boss.
He attacks through slow but strong hits, with the intent of knocking you into the lava. To defeat him you need to Spin-Attack (Or just attack it normally a LOT) This is made incredibly easier if you first Shield Bash his stomach, because that stuns him enough to Spin-Attack. After that he starts rolling. Maybe I should of said this earlier, but ALWAYS wear your Iron Boots. Just like any other Goron stop him, and throw him. Now Link will throw him directly behind him, so try to aim yourself so that he lands in the lava. If he doesn't land in the Lava he'll just uncurl, and come right back at you.

Oh and we get probably the most used item in the game: The Hero's Bow. Oh yes! It works just like the Slingshot, but is infinitely more awesome! Use it to easily down any enemy, cut ropes, hit switches, AND you can use it upside down. The uses never end! Ever!
