Back in July, LeviR.star made The Donkey Kong VRC6 Project, a reimagined take on the music and jingles from Nintendo's Donkey Kong utilizing the Famicom's 2A03 plus the sound expansion of the Konami VRC6. As a longtime fan of the original Donkey Kong, this project is an absolute knockout; it's got the unused tracks plus some original compositions thrown in to make it feel more complete as a soundtrack. Plus, the arrangements are all done so cleverly, and they greatly spruce up the original game's BGM. I loved this project so much that I felt compelled to give it the Namco C30 WSG treatment with Furnace, using wavetables from various Namco and Konami games like I usually do. I even asked LeviR.star to provide a download for the NSF of the project, which he was gracious enough to do. This whole thing took me 5 days to put together, and it was certainly a fairly arduous task. Regardless, I'm extremely pleased with how this all turned out, especially since I decided to challenge myself to only use a maximum of 8 different wavetables to make this.
