647LG hasn't been famous for launching that many tablets in their history, and yet, they are quite famous for their contributions to the tablet industry. The company has created the IPS technology that powers the iPad since its inception, and given how much we praise those displays, you can understand the level of excitement we had when this Korean giant decided to launch this tablet at IFA 2013.
This G Pad 8.3 that we're reviewing is a Wi-Fi only model that runs Android 4.2.2, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz, it's got 2 GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage via microUSB, a 5 megapixel camera at the tack, a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, and a battery that's of 4,600 mAh. The biggest story here though, is its 8.3-inch 1920 x 1200 display that rocks a solid 273 PPI, and which we expect to be the tablets best attribute.
At the time of this unboxing, this tablet cost a hefty $350 in the US, which is definitely a tall order in times when the Nexus 7 is already dominating the Android tablet space.
