Lichdom Battlemage has been one of the most stubborn games running in Wine. After many tests every few months it finally worked. Turns out even Windows gamers are experiencing the same crashing upon loading the first level.
I eventually found that you have to edit a config file to make it run as Fullscreen-Windowed. Then you can actually load the menu screen. But the game will still crash loading the first level until you install: wininet
Not sure why???? but it worked! Now I'm playing Lichdom Battlemage with all the settings on high in Wine 5.0 64-bit and DXVK.
