Tough final boss. The first form didn't take me long to be able to shred through without healing, but the second form was very aggressive, making it hard to use items or survive for long. He does alot of damage and theres not alot of time to recover between attacks. I re-spec'd my character for this fight adding to my advance stat for a few points and redoing the quartz skill tree to try for more throwable items. I also spent some time hunting down all the quartz I missed with a video. I spent alot of the money I farmed on throwable items as well. The acid works very well. Because of all the preparation I did I dont really have a completion time for the boss. I sporadically made attempts while doing other shit to power up. Definately one of the harder fights and I spent a few hours preparing and making attempts inbetween.
The main strat was to shred the first form with the parry arm and poking the trident while holding up the parry arm. I also added electric to the trident before that fight, each time. For the second form I was trying to keep my distance, throw shit and use the fable attacks when they were available. I had all my slots filled with throwables for that purpose.
I believe its possible to choose the "Give Heart" option and roll the end credits, bypassing this boss fight, and beating the game, though with a worse ending. I figured since I got this far I might as well kill the proper final boss, since I really enjoyed the game. It was in my backlog for a long time. Good to finish it off.
1
