๐ LIFE UPDATE!
๐ I know it has been a minute since I talked directly to yโall, but thatโs because I have been busy! Speed Week happened, and behind the scenes of all of that: my wife and I moved to North Carolina. We now live in beautiful Asheville, which has its pros and cons. As mentioned, itโs gorgeous, but as you may be able to tell as well, itโs very hilly and that has its pros and cons, as well, because I enjoy the hills a little bit. But on a recovery ride like today it does make it a little tricky to stay down in Zone 1 and Zone 2. But no, Asheville is incredible, and we loved our time in Georgia but we are so excited to be closer to family now. So thanks for sticking with me while I havenโt made nearly as many videos over these past couple weeks, and hopefully now you understand why!

๐ดโโ๏ธCycling in Asheville, NC, offers an exceptional experience, blending the charm of a vibrant city with the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The city itself features a variety of bike-friendly routes, including designated bike lanes and greenways, making it accessible for cyclists of all levels. The French Broad River Greenway is a popular choice, providing a scenic, flat route along the river with easy access to parks and local attractions. Downtown Asheville's eclectic atmosphere and bike-friendly infrastructure encourage cyclists to explore its unique shops, cafes, and breweries, adding a cultural touch to their rides.
For those seeking more challenging terrain, the surrounding mountains present numerous opportunities. The Blue Ridge Parkway, renowned for its breathtaking views, is a favorite among road cyclists. The parkwayโs undulating roads and long climbs demand endurance and skill, rewarding riders with panoramic vistas of the Appalachian landscape. Mountain bikers will find trails aplenty in nearby Pisgah National Forest and Bent Creek Experimental Forest, where technical trails wind through dense forests and rugged terrain, offering thrilling descents and diverse wildlife sightings.
Cycling events and community activities further enhance Ashevilleโs appeal. The city hosts several organized rides and races, such as the Gran Fondo Asheville, which attracts cyclists from across the region.
