What is Physical Education?

Meenakshi: "Physical Education is "education through the physical". It aims to develop students' physical competence and knowledge of movement and safety, and their ability to use these to perform in a wide range of activities associated with the development of an active and healthy lifestyle."

How I got into Physical Education?

Meenakshi: "After finishing the school, I went for my Bachelor's in Physical Education from Laxmibai National College of Physical Education. After graduation, I did my masters in Physical Education and Diploma in Yoga. In 1980, I started my career in teaching physical education in different schools and college's. I represented India in 1982 Asian Games in Delhi and in 1985 in World Games, London. In the year 1986 made a record along with 18 cadets and covered 580 kms in 11 days."
