Here is a release I wasn't quite expecting (other one is today...), but this is a game I've had my eye on for awhile. Sadly, as you might tell from the tone of my voice, I'm not that excited at the beginning as the game has a pretty slow start. I'm going to aim to record the remainder of it today and hopefully it picks up, otherwise I am definitely going to be in the group that thinks this could use a bit more work. Due to the Early Access nature, I imagine some things could change.

As for the game itself, the premise is not immediately clear. You play as a boy who dreams of the sky while living in an underground city. He and his friend are forced into leaving their normal lives behind for their safety, and also have a goal to find the sky that the boy dreams of.

Style-wise, the environment very much feels like the early game of Final Fantasy VII. Character graphic-wise is more akin to Final Fantasy III. Battle system is a little retro, but there are some major spots in it that drag it down, primarily the Fury/Limit Break system.

Overall, I'm going to give the game a chance for the time being, but based on what I already see, there is definitely some work to do be done.
