Lightning Returns: FF13 Playthrough #041, Day 3: Wildlands: Village of Poltae
This is video #041 in my playthrough of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. This video does not contain commentary. To view the commentary version, click here: http://youtu.be/1uxaDLW9J4g
Lightning is hunting out treasures in the Rocky Crag. To start with, I show off earning the Hero of Glory trophy (time 1:29). This is earned for defeating over 300 enemies.
Now, from the clearing adjacent to the Grasslands, Lightning heads north (time 1:52). At the next intersection, she turns east and glides across the gap to find a Rocky Crag Mole (time 6:50). The chef in Aryas will be pleased.
Lightning next ascends the path to the west. As the path turns north, she will enter the Sacred Path. She can find another Rocky Crag Mole here (time 10:43).
Before long, she has finally reached the remote village of Poltae (time 11:01). Up a ladder just north of the town entrance, she can strike a path that leads to a treasure ball with Aerora Lv. 2 (time 11:39).
Not far inside Poltae, she can find a quest-giver on the ground (time 12:37). This is Taleb. He needs Cardesia's Elixir. Light automatically receives the quest "Mercy of a Goddess."
On the whole, the residents of Poltae seem much friendlier than the fanatics in Luxerion.
In the west of the village, Light can find a path that rises and goes around. It doesn't take long to reach the target marker (time 15:15). There is some undecipherable writing on a stone there.
As Lightning and her chocobo climb up to the target marker, a scene takes place (time 15:32). When the Man Awaiting the End is done talking, Lightning will automatically receive the quest "Killing Time."
From the end of the path, Lightning can continue on as long as her chocobo has learned to glide (time 17:10).
When she reaches the other side, another scene takes place (time 17:35). And that concludes the quest "Killing Time"! If only all quests were so easy. The rewards include 100 gil, a White Chocobo Figurine, and meager boosts to max HP and magic.
The Angel of Salvation trophy that I just earned is for completing 25 side quests.
Thanks for watching!
