This is video #21 in my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES. Link has fully explored the first floor of Ganon's Tower. Believe it or not, that was about half the dungeon. The rest of the dungeon will be more straightforward. At the very least, Link needs the Big Key from the lower levels to progress.

Link starts by taking the stairs up to 3F. The first room contains blue and orange barriers and Goriyas on a damage floor. Link can safely cross the damage floor on lowered barriers. To open the door, he must push the northwestern block.

There are a couple of red Goriyas in the room to the south (time 1:02). The statue can be used to block the spike trap, if desired. The Mirror Shield provides protection from their beams. Defeating them opens the east door. Beamos and more Goriyas are to the east. To the north, on the east side of the wall, is a Big Key door.

To the north, on the lower level, the orange barriers block off some spike traps, Rocklops, and pots (time 1:49). The upper level partly cuts off the player's view of the lower level. Under the center pot is a switch that unlocks the northern door along the eastern wall.

To the east, cannon turrets attempt to knock Link off the narrow bridge (time 2:38). They do a good job, too. At the eastern end, Link can dash and crash against the blocks to propel himself to the southern ledge. Through the bombable wall, there is a room with Fairies.

Link heads upstairs to 4F (time 3:19). Killing the Dairas and Stalfos unlocks the door to the west. To the west, a Beamos statue is riding the conveyor belt. Joy. Defeating the three Stalfos opens the door. To the south are three Dairas and two Beamos statues on the conveyor belt. Killing the Dairas opens the door.

South, a couple of red Dairas and two more Beamos statues on a conveyor belt await (time 4:22). Much of the floor is slippery, adding to the challenge. Kill the Dairas quickly. To the south, the floor is slippery except for the tiles in front of the western door. A Stalfos and a Daira guard the door. Once they are killed, Link exits west.

In the second room to the west, Link will find the Lanmolas, the boss of the Desert Palace (time 4:48). Again, not too difficult. Once the worms are defeated again, Link exits north.

Next, Link goes upstairs to 5F (time 5:40). 5F starts with an invisible floor haunted by Wizzrobes. The Ether Medallion will illuminate the floor. To the south, there is a bridge guarded by laser eyes. Not nearly as hard as the one with cannonballs earlier. East and north, Wizzrobes guard the door. Farther north, there is another bridge to dash over.

The room to the east is a bit tricky (time 6:43). In the middle is a cross-shaped pathway guarded by a fire bar. At each end of the cross is a torch. The four torches must be lit to open the door to the southeast. Beyond, some laser eyes guard the stairway.

Link takes the stairway up to 6F (time 7:41). He must act quickly to light all four torches and exit north before the floor falls away. To the north, one of the Helmasaurs holds a Key. The chests hold Bombs. Through the locked door to the west, there are a small and large trap. The conveyor belt can carry Link's bomb west to blow up the southern wall.

The room to the south is a little interesting (time 8:47). There is a large rectangle of orange barriers around a smaller rectangle of blue barriers. An Anti-Fairy is in the middle. The chest in the middle contains the Key for the southern door.

Through the door to the south, Link will find the Tower of Hera's boss, the Moldorm (time 9:20). The fully upgraded sword will rip it apart. Over the edge is a landing area on 5F. Defeating the Moldorm reveals a chest on the southern ledge. Although it contains a measly 20 Rupees, the chest itself is the true reward as it provides a means to get across.

Through the door to the west is a room with a ton of obstacles (time 10:26). Just put on the Magic Cape and dash straight up the middle to the stairway.

Link finally arrives on the top floor, 7F (time 10:35). Past the Big Key door, he will find ... wait, that's not Ganon, it's Agahnim. The wizard has a new trick this time; he will split himself into three. Only one of him is real, and it is pretty easy to tell which. Unfortunately for Agahnim, his doppelgangers shoot the very energy he is weak to. This time around, he will not shoot lightning. The object again is to hit him with the big energy balls.

Before too long, Agahnim is defeated (time 12:09). Ah, there's the great hog of evil himself. Wait, how did Link manage to call the Duck in the Dark World?

Anyway, after the scene, the path to battle Ganon will be open at last. In preparation, Link fills up his magic meter before dropping in.

Thanks for watching!
