3Back to Hawaii now, with a scene on Nele Island showing Bryce in talks with Japanese officials, Ebina and Dwight before we see his indoctrination of children in full effect.
After that, we're back with Ichiban at Yamai's place, where the patriarch gives him a pep talk to get him moving instead of moping around, a sentiment shared by the Veteran Hostess often at his arm. The Old Doctor is more inclined to share the story of the Yamai Syndicate, at least.
And when everyone realizes Chitose has left, and with a gun no less, it only becomes more urgent to get moving and find her!
The three Daidoji elites that worked with Hanawa make contact with the party once more and they bear no ill will for how things turned out, instead choosing to renew their cooperation and grant us a wealth of information on Eiji Mitamura.
Chi-chan also gets in touch, directing the party to a place called Club Guilty, where Eiji is dwelling. Going there leads to a few fights against level 32 enemies, with Chitose rejoining the party partway through.
Unfortunately, Eiji will manage to make his escape with Lani. As the party finds a place to settle down and recover, Chitose shares the full story of Tatara Hisoka and the meeting with Eiji it led to.
With everyone resolved to rescue Lani and put an end to Bryce's ambitions, we set out once more, and Yamai calls us to let us know of unrest at his place as some of his men have joined up with Palekana.
The game suggest level 35 and 5-star gear, which you should listen to, as you're about to get in some heavy fighting. After getting Chitose's last Walk & Talk and getting my equipment up to par, it's time to go!
After a cutscene, you get into a fight with seven level 35 Yamai Syndicate members, once you win it, you get into a dungeon where you're welcomed by five more. After that you'll face small groups as you make your way through the place, until you reach the roof where you're greeted by two Excavators!
Those guys hit hard, as you'd expect, and they resist Gun attacks, you definitely want to exploit their weakness to Water and focus all efforts on taking them down one at a time. Once the first is out, their Dynamic Combination is no longer a threat, making the fight much less stressful. You get an opportunity to heal up and save after that.
Once you choose to proceed by talking to Adachi, you'll change locations in a spectacular manner and find yourself in a battle with the party split in two! Ichiban and Chitose will face a level 37 mini-boss accompanied by three level 36 enemies while Tomizawa and Adachi will face four level 36 enemies. When the Tomidachi group clears up their group, they'll link up to the Ichitose party to deal with the mini-boss more easily.
After that, it's time to make your way through the building once again, though it's more straightforward than the first time. You get an opportunity to heal up and save before reaching the final room, where a big brawl will start!
A level 38 Barracuda leads four level 37 flunkies, all of them are pretty healthy and Eiji will regularly grant them buffs as well, crowd control options such as Charm and Paralysis can really come in handy, as well as exploiting their weakness to Fire.
But things don't end when that group is dispatched, in fact it only escalates from here as poison gas is spread in the room (And no, you can't cure it, it was worth a try though!) and new enemies come in, another level 38 boss with four allies and the two Poison Gas Generators, which should be your main targets.
If you've got everyone's Hype Meter charged up, it's a good time to unleash an Ultimate Tag Team to leave no one but the boss standing. The boss himself is weak to Slashing attacks and can be Paralyzed, and despite his generic looks, there's a mid-fight mashing QTE halfway through his HP.
After this refreshingly challenging fight, Yamai will urge Ichiban to take some time to talk with Akane, leading to a very touching scene that will mark the end of this short, but intense chapter!
