5The vacant lot in Champion District is the stage of this Memoir, and you should know what to expect if you've played the past games. As Kiryu reminisces on Komaki, however, some thugs will show up looking to cause trouble. Time to teach the three level 38 punks a lesson!
After that, the old man himself will show up and reminisce about one of his former students that resembled the man standing before him a lot, and he will then request a duel, the game recommends level 38 for it, so you can be well-prepared, I was certainly a bit too prepared, myself...
Komaki is level 39 and will use some classic moves, Jawbone Clutch is a four-hit combo raising his Agility, Leaping Gazelle is a quick two-hit combo. As he gets below 50% HP, he'll enter Heat Mode and unleash the Komaki Hellstorm, a seven-hit combo with a chance to stun you on the final hit.
He can also get in the Komaki Stance, which most likely counters your next attack, but it apparently cannot counter grabs.
Once you win, Kiryu will reminisce on his old teacher and what he taught him, and the two fighters will part ways, with Sotaro Komaki becoming a Poundmate!
