Here is my review of Limbo released on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft points. It was developed by the independent developer PlayDead Studios.

Limbo is a very dark, puzzle-platformer that takes a look at a boys journey into Limbo, which is the edge of hell, to find his missing sister. It has a very unique art style creating a disturbingly delightful atmosphere. But don't let the games simplistic style fool you. This art style is really used to significantly enhance the eerie and haunting atmosphere while drawing focus to the disturbing environments and brutal deaths you will be experiencing. Limbo uses ambient noise and sound effects to create a frightening sense of paranoia as you play. Traps will kill you with absolutely no warning causing you to jump out of your seat, and you will often find yourself expecting a trap when there are none to be found, creating a very suspenseful atmosphere. Limbo seems to prey on the basic human fears incredibly well to create an experience unlike no other game you have played before.
