Lincolnshire Posy was composed by Percy Grainger in 1937 and published in 1940. Based on his work touring the UK and recording folk singers and their songs, it is split into 6 movements.

The first movement, Lisbon (originally titled Dublin Bay), was based on the singing of a man by the last name of Deane, who worked at the Brigg workhouse. Grainger required multiple visits to the man in order to get a complete recording.

This version has been arranged for a standard British Brass Band arrangement. The audio/visual uses trumpets instead of cornets and a cornet instead of flugel, as I don't currently have possession of a flugelhorn and wanted to maintain the change in timbre as much as I could.

I've also recorded parts assuming standard doubling - Four solo cornets, two 2nd cornets, two 3rds, two euphoniums, two of each Bb and Eb tubas. If two videos have both the same instrument and the same shirt, it's because they're reading from the same part.

Special thanks to my father for performing the Timpani yet again!
