Claude Debussy wrote Rêverie as a small piece for piano in 1890. The title, Rêverie, refers to a daydream or "being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts" as Oxford puts it.

Pieces like this tend to push and pull the tempo a lot - which is a challenge in a project like this where one is playing a single instrument at a time. You have to set up the metronome in advance and hope that by the time you've got most of the instruments recorded it still sounds musical like it did in your head. In this case, there was some successes and some failures. Ultimately, I think it's good practice to go through it sometimes.

My arrangement calls for cornets, specifically for the blend they'd have with my altohorn and tenorhorn. However, I don't own a Soprano cornet, so I did both on trumpet instead so at least they'd match each other rather than have an odd one out.
