Apart from the announcement that they will be coming out with Linpus MeeGo Slate Edition we thought we would check out any new improvements, they've installed additional language packs and keyboard support. We've also seen say they have added a number of enhancements including improved hardware and peripheral support (drivers), advanced power management, Linpus Windows Data applications (allowing easier access to Windows data on dual boot systems), online support and a LiveUpdate function to deliver upgraded drivers and new applications over the air.

You'll want to be keeping an eye on Linpus next month since the MeeGo Developer Summit is going on in Dublin and this might be a prime time for the Linpus team to step into the spot light to release more details about Linpus' MeeGo Slate Edition. It is built off of MeeGo 1.1 so it'll be heavily optimized for tablets over Windows. It'll support Pinetrail based devices and upcoming Moorestown and Oak Trail devices and that should include the current Menlow platform as there's backward compatibility.

Until Dublin you'll have to satisfied with this Linpus Lite MeeGo Edition.
