http://www.netbooknews.com Apple unveiled its an 11.6" inch MacBook Air (MBA) today, this new Macbook had been subject to much Speculation and rumor, with many people wondering if Apple was gutsy enough to sell a computer that, size wise, falls perfectly into the Netbook Category. As far as internal components go? Its no Netbook. Base configurations packs a 1.4Ghz Core 2 duo (Upgradeable to 1.6Ghz) , 2Gb of DDR3 RAM (Upgradeable to 4GB) , a 64Gb SSD (Upgradeable to 128Gb) , and an NVIDIA GeForce 320M. As for screen resolution? Basic 1366 x 768 for HD viewing. Battery life is rated at 5 hours, which is about what the first generation, 13 inch MBA had. It is Available today on Apples Website starting at $999.

The new MBA features Mini Display Port, 2 USB 2.0 ports (On the left and right side) an SD card reader, and a glass multi-touch track pad similar to that of the Larger Macbook's. It will come with Mac OS X 10.6.4 .
