Linux, Can it run Crysis? | GTX 1080 | 4K | Proton | DXVK | Wine
Crysis (2007) unedited gameplay on Arch Linux in 4K using Valve Proton https://bit.ly/3cDd6CT
Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) was used for recording the video: https://bit.ly/3c8QVUJ
MangoHud was used as overlay for hardware monitoring: https://bit.ly/3Aa6p2L
Proton Experimental version was used as compatibility layer in Steam (Runtime)
*Performance:*
OBS recording eats up about 5 to 20 frames recording in 4K. No recording results in a lot more frames and less frametime spikes, so a lot smoother. It runs very well on Linux on this setup. Played for 8 hours in Linux and haven't bumped into anything noticeable. It's almost on par with Windows 10.
I plan on doing a lot more video's about Gaming on Linux so checkout my channel if you like. Please leave a like if you liked it and let me know what you think in the comments!
