Linux Talk #11: Linux Screen Tearing / Flickering using NVidia Graphics Driver | Beginners Guide
260In this Linux talk I fixed my Linux Screen Tearing / Flickering issue where my screen would flicker and tear while I was recording videos. I use Nvidia Proprietary Drivers to run my Graphics card on Linux and it's my first time dealing with this issue. This is a guide and tutorial intended for Linux Beginners.
We'll go through how to approach potentially fixing screen tearing/flickering issues in this linux talk. I figured out that my issue was a setting in the Nvidia drivers settings. It took a while to figure out which setting was causing it but now everything runs great. Hopefully this will help some others find tearing/flickering issues. Also saving the settings can be tricky and it's non-obvious so follow along to see how to do it.
